Katie hails from Long Island and moved to Atlanta where she attended Georgia State University.  There she began producing short films, receiving several awards and honors, and worked as an assistant director and as a producer’s assistant on several music videos for high profile rap artists. Her work took her to New Orleans in 2007 and later to Los Angeles. Katie produced her first feature film, the psychological thriller Implanted (Skylight Cinema, 2013), with filmmaker Thomas Verrette. In Los Angeles, she produced her second feature, Delivery (Type AB Films, 2014), as well as a few commercials and pilots.

She has worked and studied under some of the industry’s top producers and directors, including Donald De Line (Green Lantern, Warner Bros.), Lorenzo di Bonaventura (GI Joe 2, Paramount), Carl Rinsch (47 Ronin, Universal), Kevin King and Mikael Hafstrom (Escape Plan, Summit), Ramin Bahrani (99 Homes, NoruzFilms), and Nicolas Chartier and Craig Flores at Voltage Pictures (Don Jon, Dallas Buyers Club). After working in production and film development, she took a turn in a new direction with the New Orleans-based international company, HUKA Entertainment, in special events and music festival production through 2016. Katie then found opportunity to dedicate her time to her New Orleans community via non-profit event production, fundraising for the Emeril Lagasse Foundation’s programs, and enjoying new surroundings amongst enthusiasts of her other passions – food & wine.  After five years, she was delighted to meet the team at Apex Post Production and to have the chance to join them in a return to the film industry. 

You may see Katie out and about in New Orleans and never know it because she loves any excuse to throw on a costume.  She also focuses her energy on her number one job on Earth- Jack’s mom.

Aidan Dykes has worked at Apex Post Production since 2015. Born and raised in Baton Rouge, he quickly relocated to New Orleans after graduating from LSU’s E.J. Ourso College of Business to begin working at Apex Post. Formerly coming from a primarily music production background, he stepped into the world of film sound design and mixing with open ears. He’s been privileged enough to have worked on all scales of productions from summer blockbusters to independent short films as an ADR mixer, sound editor, and re-recording mixer. When not at Apex Post, he enjoys playing music, field recording (sound effects and ambiences),
enjoying an ice-cold IPA, and spending time with his girlfriend, Rachel, and their calico cat, Joni.

Maya Lewis works with the Apex Team on many levels. Her creative role as a foley artist is revealed on several feature films including My Brother’s Keeper and The Dinner Party. Her sound editing skills can be heard on several feature films and also many episodes from the Hearst Television Very Local streaming channel's content. Maya also works as a recording assistant during ADR sessions and contributes as a finance and marketing assistant. Maya’s New Orleans roots extend through her family’s presence in the music industry and her international reach is present through origins from Japan. Fluent in Japanese, Maya studied marketing and film at Loyola University New Orleans, has worked in concert promotions, costuming, and film production management. She brings rich cultural and insightful business influences to everyone and everything she encounters.

Joe Diliberto works with Apex Post as a sound editor, recording assistant, and general tech consultant.

Born and raised in Birmingham, Alabama, he relocated to New Orleans during his attendance at Loyola University New Orleans where he majored in Music Industry Studies. Joe's unique background in music production, IT, and film has allowed him to pioneer new and vital roles at Apex: He oversees the company's data archive and data storage processes and has spearheaded the build of a custom PC, with hopefully many more to come. When not at Apex, Joe works as a freelance web developer as well as audio engineer, producer, and manager for local New Orleans artist Will Dickerson. 

Julia Perret works as a sound editor at Apex Post. Since graduating from Loyola University New Orleans with a degree in Digital Filmmaking, Julia can be found wearing many different hats at Apex. While Julia primarily spends her time in the editing bay working on dialogue, she also has experience as a foley mixer and editor on several features and shorts, as well as an ADR recording assistant on many of the productions that pass through town. Having grown up in the city, Julia hopes to continue working locally in the sound field for film and television.

Originally from Sydney, Australia, in 2002 Simon moved to New Orleans, attending film school at the University of New Orleans. Moving to Los Angeles in 2008 he attended the American Film Institute as an editing fellow. Upon graduating he lived, and worked, in Los Angeles until returning to New Orleans in 2020.

Will Milvid works as a Motion Picture Editor and Colorist for Apex Post-Production. Born and raised in New Orleans, LA, Will was exposed to the film industry at a young age. His first jobs were in front of the camera, working as a day player on Ender’s Game and Max Steel. By the time he entered high school, Will had begun writing, directing, and editing short films. His passion for the art led him to apply to multiple collegiate film programs. He was fortunate enough to be accepted into the USC School of Cinematic Arts and graduated in 2019. Post-Grad, Will has worked both freelance and full-time as an Assistant Editor, Motion GFX Artist, Motion Picture Editor and Colorist. He has worked on advertisements, shorts, features, and television programs and looks forward to continue growing alongside Apex. When not at work Will enjoys writing and performing music as well as sampling the one-of-a-kind night life NOLA has to offer.

John Beyer is 6'1" and is a black belt in Squirrel-fu.  He is fluent in Avid and Adobe software, but his proudest accomplishment is having won a bet in 2009 in which he moonwalked for an entire week due to a lost bet.  He can bench 200.

Gabriela Martinez works with Apex Post as a Marketing and Outreach Assistant. She manages the Apex Post website, steers our social media strategies, and monitors new business opportunities.  Born and raised in San Juan, Puerto Rico, Gabriela moved to New Orleans to continue her education at Loyola University New Orleans. She graduated in the spring of 2022, double-majoring in Entertainment Industry Studies and Public Relations. Her favorite things about New Orleans are the culture, the people, and how much there is to explore.

Maura Lindsey joined Apex in the summer of 2022. Born and raised in Panama City, Florida, she moved to New Orleans in pursuit of a career based in creativity and collaboration. After several years of working in equipment management and videography, and receiving her degree from Loyola University’s Digital Filmmaking program, she decided to pursue her passion for the visual elements of film via color and other post processes. Aside from this, she takes on the role of site representative for many film and television productions in the Uptown New Orleans area. Outside of the film industry she is a freelance photographer, specializing in portraiture sessions, weddings, musicians, and nightlife. She is also a 2D and 3D artist focusing on sculpture and mixed media, with pieces appearing alongside her photography in local galleries. In her spare time, she enjoys taking care of her plants, brewing teas, watching cult classics, and spending time with her dog.
