The Labor Day weekend has been heavy on Labor in Louisiana! During the aftermath of Hurricane Ida, crews have been working around the clock to restore power, phone service and internet and I’m pleased to report that substantial progress has been made on all fronts!

 

We now have a timeline for reopening Apex and are currently accepting HOLDs for ADR sessions beginning Wed, Sept 15. We are planning to light up our mix stage this week, and bring editorial back online beginning Monday, Sept 13. We’ve been doing some “light” editorial remotely, but are waiting for our building to have full power, HVAC, and internet before coming back to full service.

 

We’re very fortunate to have such a dedicated team working with and around us, and that starts with our Building VP of Operations, Trey Burvant. He and his staff have worked tirelessly since the storm hit and are doing amazing things to get all of the SLS shows, companies, and teams back up and running. Huge shout out to SLS Studios!

 

More soon. Hopefully our progress stays on track, and our thoughts and prayers go out to all who are impacted by this storm and other challenges during these difficult times.

Apex Post, as with most of Louisiana, has been hit hard by Hurricane Ida. As we wait for power to resume around the City of New Orleans, we are assessing how to quickly and efficiently restart operations and continue providing the quality of post production services we have built our reputation upon.

 

At this time, we have paused in-person ADR sessions. Our mixing and ADR stages are intact and suffered no damage, however without power we cannot operate. We anticipate a gradual return of services and will provide updates here as more information becomes available.

 

We will also provide updates via social media on our IG, FB and Twitter feeds.

 

Thank you for your support during this challenging time. We value your confidence, appreciate your trust, and understand how critical it is to service your amazing work in a timely and professional manner. Our goal is to maintain continuity throughout this period and get back to full operational status as quickly and as safely as possible.
